" Like many others, I've joined Gyms in the past and ended up only going a handful of times, finding them a little daunting and wandering around not really knowing what to do, surrounded by body builders and body beautifuls!! So rather than invest in yet another gym and with the foreign holidays and dreaded bikini looming...I decided I'd give Emma a call.
My primary objective was to tone up but I got so much more than that.
When it came to both fitness and diet, I seriously lacked motivation and discipline, but Emma changed my mindset and attitude.
Emma is very passionate about her job and when it comes to the personal training sessions, she knows that you are capable of more and she pushes you to your limits. "I originally started with Emma with the intention of going for “a few weeks” to tone up before my wedding. Three years later and I’m only now taking a break as I’m shortly due to give birth! Not only did Emma help me achieve my initial goal of getting into great shape for my big day, she fostered an interest in health and fitness in me that I hope I will carry through life. "Having spent 3 years working full time and studying every night, I found little or no time for exercise.
Going from a reasonably fit girl to feeling utter lethargic, unfit and squidgy around the edges, I decided to take matters into my own hands and called upon Emma for help.

"I started with Emma in June of this year for a few reasons. I had a lot of weight to lose, I wanted to tone up as I did it and I needed to increase my fitness levels.
Having tried the gym I realised that I can talk myself out of every workout! So, I figured that I needed someone to motivate and push me; as well as to understand my limits.
I can truly say it’s the best decision I have ever made for myself. In eight weeks we had improved my fitness and my core strength. I have lost 2 stone (19 inches!) and gained a new outlook on exercise. Emma changes the programmes often and intensifies the workouts each time and nothing compares to the feeling on the way home!
The sessions are tough but really enjoyable and I know I would never push myself in the same way in a gym. It’s also really motivational to be shown how to do weights and cardio properly so that every move counts.

Having neglected any exercise for a couple of years I badly needed to lose some weight. My fitness was also very poor, with me only being able to last about 2 minutes on a treadmill. Investing in the personal training was one of the best things I have done in recent years. Not only did i lose a considerable amount of weight, my general fitness and diet have improved incredibly. Prior to joining with Emma I would struggle to run for longer then a few minutes. I can now do 1-2k without even thinking about it as part of a wider work out. These are the type of real, practical results that she delivers.
The sessions that Emma devises for you are tough but very enjoyable. Within a couple of weeks I noticed a big difference in my fitness. I looked forward to my twice weekly classes and noticed a big difference in my workplace as well as I felt sharper and less tired.
I would recommend Emma and her personal training to anyone. The sessions are varied and fun. The results however speak for themselves.

"I have often thought of giving a personal trainer a go
but afraid of what it entailed always made me think no!
But then last August I decided why not give it a try,
So I contacted Emma to see how I would get by.
I've been a member of various gyms in the past
But the initial enthusiasm would never last
Emma's programme consisted of weights to begin,
With some cardio of some sort always thrown in.
These in the form of boxing, kettlebells and skipping to name but a few,
Leaving you amazed at everything you're now able to do.

"I have known for ages that I needed to lose weight, tackle my stress levels and get healthy but despite my best intentions I always had some excuse. Finally this Summer I decided to try running but didn't know where to start. I found Emma's website and took her up on her special offer and have gone from being able to jog for less than a minute to recently jogging 5k! I can't recommend her service highly enough. I decided to look for a personal trainer to give myself a kick start for the summer. As a single parent I had a tight budget and was never looking for something long term. Emma was a great instructor, very encouraging and friendly. She helped me push myself to find my limits and I was surprised how far I could push myself at home without her after a couple of weeks. She gave me some great cardio exercises to do at home as well as easy to follow, detailed weight training workouts. I was sorry when the sessions came to an end but came away with a positive attitude, knowledge and the motivation to carry on without her.

"Training with Emma has been a great experience for me. Her knowledge of fitness and nutrition has been a huge help to me. I found the sessions to be fun and very effective! My reason for going to Emma was to tone up and build up my strength. She offered advice on proper nutrition and how to strengthen my body in a healthy way. After a few sessions, I started to realise how I was toning up, I could see the difference in how my clothes fitted me. So I was encouraged to keep going with the sessions.
I would highly recommend Emma. She is very understanding but strict when she needs be and she get the results needed. She listens to you and just makes the session interesting and fun. I still continue with my workouts now each week thanks to Emma."

"I started a series of personal training with Emma with the goal of toning up before my wedding. I usually need an extra nudge to do some exercise but I found myself looking forward to the sessions with Emma because I knew the sessions would get me the results I wanted. "I started with Emma in March 2010 with a goal to loose some weight and get fit enough to be able to do a bit of running, maybe a 5k but nothing too extravagant. This was all discussed at my first assessment with Emma and she then tailored a work out to meet my needs. All the workouts are tough but Emma makes them extremely fun, you never know what is coming next in her sessions.
In June, on encouragement from Emma, I ran a 5k in the Phoenix Park. Emma ran the race with me which was exactly what I needed for my first race. She taught me how to run at a pace that I was comfortable with and able to keep up, advised when I should slow down or speed up and most importantly made me believe that I could actually run the whole race, which I did in the end. After that race I got the ‘running bug’ as Emma calls it. I decided to do the Adidas 5 mile and since then I have ran the Addias Half Marathon! This was something that I never expected to do but it showed me what I can achieve with the right encouragement, training and advice. On the lead up to the race I had my days where I doubted if could do it and each time this happened Emma was there getting me back on track and focused again on the training plan she had done up specifically for me. Throughout my training, Emma was in frequent contact through email, sending me on routes to run, advice on the food I should be eating and of course those all important words of encouragement that I needed to get me up and out. The day of the event she was on holidays and even text to congratulate me , if thats not going the extra mile I don’t know what is!
Emma’s love for fitness and health is portrayed through the amount of time and effort she has put into each of my training sessions and the extra emails and texts she sends to keep me on track. Her eagerness and belief in me has made me do things I never thought I would be able for. Inches have disappeared from my body, a few new tops have been bought in a smaller size and its all thanks to my sessions with Emma. Thanks Emma!"
